Can India Learn from Bharat?
Most of the millennial generation reading this was born in “INDIA”, however their Parents were born and brought up in “BHARAT” which is why most of the INDIA seems to be in a live-in relationship with shows like "AIB roast" ( a spoof comedy show which mocks fun at traditional conventions and openly puts up the discussions and slang in front of an open audience, which are not even discussed in closed doors of a BHARTIYA Home) and without any surprise most of the BHARAT hates "AIB roast" to its core.
Both these generations though geographically belonging to same country are theoretically citizens of 2 different countries – One belongs to BHARAT, others like me belong to INDIA.
For me it is not about which is better but can India learn from Bharat?
Because in my opinion “INDIA” is the way forward and “BHARAT” should form the back bone of what “INDIA” achieves.In Many ways “INDIA” and “BHARAT” are similar in their mannerism but they differ in their implementation
· Just Like “BHARAT that believes in Sharing with people their sorrows, happiness etc, “INDIA” also loves to share things (but on Facebook, twitter, Linkedin etc)
· “INDIA” loves to fall in line by coming “ONLINE”, ”BHARAT” is always “OFFLINE”
· Most of the "BHARAT" built its existence on “AGRI-CULTURE” while "INDIA" thinks it should be based on an “OPEN-CULTURE”
· BHARAT waited for Things to happen , INDIA knows How to make things Happen
· BHARAT was “PATIENT” , INDIA is “IMPATIENT”
· BHARAT is still getting SWACHH (read SWACHH BHARAT programme) while INDIA is getting Skilled (read SKILL INDIA PROGRAMME)
· BHARAT had/has a Gender Bias for Women, INDIA has a Gender Bias for Men(It is difficult to be a Men in 21st Century L )
· BHARAT considers it as a SIN to lose VIRGINITY before marriage(hwww gandi baat J) while for INDIA Virginity is simply a lack of opportunity or may be a commitment towards him/herself to not lose it but definitely not a SIN J
I can go on and on drawing these parallels between INDIA and BHARAT but while doing this our initial intent would be lost . Can INDIA learn from BHARAT ? or in other words Should INDIA learn from BHARAT?
While all of us might have a different opinion on this but I feel that our country is in a transitioning mode which is definitely going to be the most painful mode for both BHARAT and INDIA.
Painful for BHARAT because it has to depart ,if INDIA has to fully arrive.
When I say depart I don’t mean all of what BHARAT stands for should be ridiculed out ,No never for that matter if we allow that to happen our country’s soul would perish.
The current situation reminds me of a scene from the great “MAHABHARATA” when Bhishma Pitamah on his deathbed(Bed full of arrows) was simply unwilling to leave this world unless he saw his beloved Hastinapur in safe hands.
In my blog BHARAT is the "THE GREAT BHISHMA PITAMAH" while INDIA is "THE CITY OF HASTINAPUR"!!!!
BHARAT(Bhishma Pitamah) has to trust on the Statesman skills of Yudhishtra(Young India) so that INDIA can be fully born.
Wait before I end this, did I forget to draw a very important parallel between INDIA and BHARAT.
Oh yeah BHARAT Loved/s GANDHI and INDIA laughs at GANDHI(Read Rahul Gandhi J)
